I love this image, me and the Monkey Temple, taken by Matthew Ashton (here is Matthews review of the event) during my talk at Designival Liverpool. I had a brilliant time, amazing venue Camp & Furnace, fantastic people and great hospitality. Thank you all for asking me to talk and for listening.

Supernew Supergraphics, brilliant new book by Adrian Shaughnessy, Tony Brook & Sarah Schrauwen, Unit Editions, fantastic work and really worth reading all the text. I am sure they will sell out very quickly so worth buying very soon.

I am very pleased to have some projects in this edition (see below, there are more too) and being asked to discuss Supergraphics at Unit Editions with Ian Cartlidge, Tony and Adrian last Monday and a great audience.

For one of my projects, I am getting screen printed wallpaper produced in 8 colours, the printer uses dulux colours and so I spent this afternoon getting my match pots out and trying out 19 colours to ensure I get exactly the colours I want. I did well but I have to get a better pink and a more olive green, not bad 6 out of 8.

(I am still catching up with posts.) Here we are completing the record installation at The Old Vinyl Factory. Very satisfying!

I always plan to choose my clothes carefully when I travel, but when the time comes to pack I just throw everything in in a hurry and then sit on the case to close it. I had to repack and come back to the UK during may stay in San Francisco. So I thought I would carefully roll my clothes (I recall an old boyfriend’s mum always packed his case that way!) so I thought I would try it. The more I rolled, the more I saw how close my choice of colours and patterns are the same as my work. I knew I liked blocked colours and geometric patterns in my clothes but this was still a revelation to me, and now it has got me thinking about an indepth study. After an impromptu photoshoot in my hotel room I thought it was the best image to sum up my talk at We Can Create, Auckland.
