brilliant photo taken by Paul Denton at the Southbank today.
Some pictures of our The Temple of Agape taken by Gareth Gardner, a temporary installation created by Morag & Luke commissioned by the Southbank Centre for their summer ‘Festival of Love’ until 31st August. The Temple of Agape is a celebration of the love of humanity, one of the seven Ancient Greek themes of love represented at the Festival.
We visited an small temple, there was no one around and it had a very good feeling. This is a Banyan tree — a huge tree — have looked it up as I did not know before why these trees are wrapped so the information I found might not be correct but — Sacred symbol — It is believed that after attaining enlightenment, Buddha sat under a Banyan tree for seven days absorbed in his newfound realization. I think these figurines are Nats, they are so beautiful and extremely characterful. (more…)

This is Liza’a and Artur’s (R2) poster for the urban interventions they have curated called Redundancy. We are very keen to see how the other designers have responded to the brief. The designers: Luke and I are the UK input, Liza’a and Artur’s, R2 (PT), Sulki & Min Choi (KR), Conditional Design, Luna Maurer+Roel Wouters (NL), Lust (NL), Frederic Teschner (FR).
We thought of building the structure here but shipping out would have been astronomical and so very kindly the organisers of Experimenta found us a local company to build our structures these start being erected on site on Monday so we aim to post some images as it goes up.
Lizá Ramalho + Artur Rebelo, R2, asked Luke and I to create an urban intervention in response to their brief — ‘Redundancia — the Usefulness of Repetition’ for the EXD’11 Lisboa which has it’s opening week 28 Sept to 02 Oct 2011. Our response is an installation in the square called ‘Ooh la la — Celebrating Excess’.
We had a really enjoyable evening at the On [Motivation] evening curated by It’s Nice That and held at the Red Bull Studios.
Mr Bingo was extremely funny and calm and Sam Bompass was incredibly hyper and enthusiastic, we were a very well chosen group of three. Great night really recommend the rest of the series.
Luke and I are tasting Sam Bompas’s nipple shaped jelly laced with alcohol!

That’s it! The witching hour has come! This is a picture of the Theatrics space taken just as I left to catch my train from birmingham last night.
The exhibition Home of Metal opens today at the Birmingham Art Gallery, Gas Hall.
The reviews are starting to come in, I am very excited to see how the audience responds to the exhibition.
More pictures to come.
Our posters fresh from the printers, just before we went and pasted them on the containers. (more…)
A little while later, starting the long sides. Wind really picked up, had to use the cars as wind-breaks.
Amazing to see all the colour start going up.
