Our doll’s house, one of 20 designed by a great group of architects, designers and artists have been revealed in the Architects Journal. Luke and I designed and made our house, small things take a very long time to make! We filled our house with a few of our favourite things plus specially commissioned pieces by artists Ishbel Myerscough, Chantal Joffe, Lemn Sissay and Betty Fraser Myerscough. Martyn Evans very clever idea as part of a fundraising year at the Cathedral Group for Kids. The Auction is open and ready for bids.

I am really happy with my interview on Designboom, thank you Andy. Lemmy is looking good, I don’t usually dress him up but my sister sent me a dog t-shirt so I tried it on him, he seems pretty pleased!
Gareth’s images have captured The Pavilion perfectly and we have had pieces in the following publications so we are very happy. Designboom, Dezeen and Frameweb.
We are super pleased, after a few attempts we have printed this lovely piece of coral. We spent today working on the model and have started printing the coral base for our house, our Ultimaker is working to absolute capacity so we rae really hoping it will be able to do it and in time. At the moment we are up to 36 hours for one piece!
Last night was the official launch event of A Dolls’ House project by Cathedral Group at the new Domus Showroom. To launch the online bidding for 20 unique houses designed by internationally recognised architects and designers including Zaha Hadid ,David Adjaye, AHMM and us before they are auctioned by Bonhams for the charity KIDS in November 2013.
This is the sketch of our doll’s house we are not exhibiting but we will show you around our house very soon. We hope someone will buy it as we have spent many hours making it. We are extremely grateful to artists Ishbel Myerscough, Chantal Joffe, Betty Fraser Myerscough and poet Lemn Sissay for kindly making some very amazing pieces of work for our house.

I am so pleased to see my line drawing of an oak tree and its inhabitants in place and ready for the new school opening. This is one of 11 pieces of work I created for the new Waverley school, Birmingham. More to come… Architects Allford Hall Monaghan Morris.
Yemisi Blake and I held a workshop with the residents of Hopkinson House where they created this poem. I then took the words and made this piece for a wall in their house.
We would love as many people as possible to come along to The Pavilion to join in designing a new typeface using the facade pattern of the building as the base grid. Each day we want you to create 4-5 letters, you can design all 4 or just one whatever you fancy. Yesterday was A-B-C-D today Wednesday E-F-G-H tomorrow I-J-K-L and so on.
We are also creating a full alphabet by decorating the outline letters as shown above, these letters need multiple contributions, so please come along and join in I think you will be surprised how addictive making patterns can be.
Thanks to everybody who got stuck in yesterday we are collecting an amazing set of designs.
The Pavilion is open Tuesday — Saturday 10am to 6pm. Sunday 10am to 4pm. Library of Birmingham, Centenary Square, Birmingham. The Discovery Pavilion continues until December, a very exciting programme.
Yesterday we opened the doors to the first day of our week long residency at The Pavilion, Discovery Season, Library of Birmingham. It was a wonderful feeling spending time in The Pavilion, usually I conceive, design, make and then have to give away.
Discovery Season, Library of Birmingham, very cleverly curated and produced by Lisa Meyer, Capsule.
Lizzie and I worked late into the night at the new Library of Birmingham doing some finishing touches to the Discovery Pavilion, and setting up the space for our Studio Myerscough week long residency. That wooden triangle on the front of the structure was bugging me I originally designed it to be blank but it did just need the pattern to continue and so we did it. I can sleep much better now.
Last night we went to the opening celebration of The New Library Birmingham. It is the first time we have seen the Pavilion in use. The Commentators were doing a great job, very entertaining. The Discovery Season, curated and produced by Capsule starts tomorrow. Stan’s Cafe — The Commentators are the first residents of the Pavilion. We are there next week.
Our work is complete for the opening on Monday 2nd September of the New Library Birmingham and the beginning of the Discovery Season, curated by Capsule.
We will be in residence for a week doing type and pattern workshops from Tuesday 10th September — Sunday 15th September more information shortly.
In 2014, Morag will do a talk as part of the Talking Interiors public lecture programme.
