Alex Cooper and Rose Gridneff have spent today organising the hanging of the work for the exhibition 6 x 6 being held in our gallery. A Collaboration between staff and students from six colleges with active letterpress workshops, exploring their geographic and contextual relationship to the letterpress process. University of Brighton, Camberwell College of Arts, London College of Communication, Central St Martins College of Art & Design, Lincoln Art & Design, Glasgow School of Art. Open 10am-5pm, 09 November to 11 November, Her House Gallery, 26 Drysdale Street, Hoxton, N1 6LS. Worth coming along and have a look a lot of good stuff.

PROGRESSING NICELY

WORK STOPPED DUE TO FREEZING CONDITIONS

Thursday, February 9th, 2012

New container graphics are going up. I wanted to paint it myself but the weather has gone so cold, so instead had it printed on blue-back by Service Graphics and they are being pasted up but work had to stop due to the wallpaper paste freezing up!  Still got the signs to produce!

MORE PASTING!

LOVELY DAY, LOVELY DAY

Saturday, April 9th, 2011

It’s now early Saturday morning and I have an exciting day ahead of me. I have just completed applying the stencils to the letters and spraying is next. Then at 10am we are going to LCC, Elephant and Castle, and going to paste our posters onto the shipping containers. According to the radio the weather is going to be beautiful today and so it will be great to be working outside. So excited to see the results.

BRIT INSURANCE EXHIBIT — SNEAK PREVIEW

Tuesday, February 15th, 2011

Phew models are difficult to make, everything so tiny and detailed, and take so long to do and so slow! But Luke, Vilma and I persevered and we installed our model of the Power of Ten, LCC Summer shows 2010 at the Design Museum last night ready for the Brit Insurance PV tonight. Be interesting to see what people think of it. I really wanted to get across the layering of the work and so I hope it does the job! I am really excited by it so hope others will be to.

POWER OF TEN HAS BEEN NOMINATED

Tuesday, January 18th, 2011

Yesterday the Design Museum announced the Brit Insurance Designs of the Year Nominations, and LCC ‘POWER OF TEN’ Summer Shows 2010 was one of them, so exciting and I am so pleased that all the work I have been doing with LCC (London College Of Communication) has been noticed and I am so happy for LCC. The project will be in the exhibition at the Design Museum from 16th February to 07th August 2011, my challenge now is to make sure the whole placemaking and sustainability side of the project gets across in the exhibit. We are now working on the 2011 shows and so exciting things to come with LCC.

Just seen a bit in the Guardian very exciting.
