ON A GIANT CORAL FARAWAY

Saturday, October 5th, 2013

Our doll’s house, one of 20 designed by a great group of architects, designers and artists have been revealed in the Architects Journal. Luke and I designed and made our house, small things take a very long time to make! We filled our house with a few of our favourite things plus specially commissioned pieces by artists Ishbel Myerscough, Chantal Joffe, Lemn Sissay and Betty Fraser Myerscough. Martyn Evans very clever idea as part of a fundraising year at the Cathedral Group for Kids. The Auction is open and ready for bids.

LIFE IS LIKE RIDING A BICYCLE. TO KEEP YOUR BALANCE YOU MUST KEEP MOVING. ALBERT EINSTEIN

Sunday, May 19th, 2013

Yesterday was the last day of the Movement Cafe and I went to have a last look, I always knew it was a temporary structure but it had felt that the cafe had taken root and until I arrived I had no idea how I would feel about it going and I have to admit I felt very sad and did not want to say goodbye to it. But it was lovely to listened all the stories about the cafe and how people have such affection for it and how it brightens their lives and how they feel they will miss it and don’t want it to go. Here are my last photos before it is dismantled. But all is not lost, many parts of the cafe are going to be reused in different projects so it is moving on…..

WE BUILT THIS CITY ON . . .

ROUND AND ROUND

Tuesday, November 1st, 2011

Reception desk and graphics are all in place at The Old Vinyl Factory (website just gone live today — we designed). The new desk has been the bane of my life for about 4 months, but the guys who finally made it did a great job and I am very pleased I stuck to my guns. more pics to come.

TAKE A SEAT

Wednesday, October 12th, 2011

The furniture has moved down into the cafe, just seeing how the pieces are looking with the floor. I am getting quite excited! By next Monday the cafe will be up and running.
