HAPPY BIRTHDAY PLATFORM

Friday, August 24th, 2012

It is Platform’s first birthday and we managed to get their ‘P’ sign manufactured and in place for their party tonight. Neon Circus are so brilliant and they made the sign perfectly. I love the contrast of the old building with the neon. I need to see it at night.

MOVE ON UP

Friday, August 17th, 2012

We had our launch party of The Movement last night. An amazing evening The Highliners did a great set and the rain stayed away. We were very Lucky, as Lemn Sissay did a reading of  his brilliant new poem ‘Shipping Good’ specially commissioned for The Movement and Greenwich. And we had Eddie Piller on the decks!

I am very happy! Thank you Cathedral for trusting us!

THE MOVEMENT MODEL

This is my original model and when the final outcome looks like the model I feel very pleased. I have loved this project so much! Today I have been overseeing Lemn Sissay’s tweet go up on the top of the building and the big ‘M’ and by Thursday we should be complete. I am Happy!

MOVING WORDS

Tuesday, August 14th, 2012

Today was so exciting all the signs we had been making in the studio went to site. I just loved seeing the boards out in the open and the words randomly changing.

LONDON OLYMPIC TORCH BEARER

Thursday, August 2nd, 2012

Yesterday I was among a group of speakers who took part in the Mayor of London 2012 Business Programme ‘Innovate Design’ organised by London & Partners, speaking about the power of London and our work to international delegates. It took place and Central St Martins. Jay Osgerby did a great talk, and an added bonus, he had one of the torches with him. We were all like small children and stood in a queue to get a photo holding the torch, I must say it was exciting! Speakers: Professor Jeremy Till/Central St Martins, Max Fraser/London Design festival, Deborah Dawton/Design Business Assocaition, Mat Hunter/Design Council, Paul Priestman/Priestmangoode,  Jay Osgerby/Barber Osgerby, Ben Tomlinson/Poke, William Knight/100% Design & me.
