BETTY’S CUSHIONS FOR AHMM

Saturday, December 17th, 2011

My Mum, Betty Fraser Myerscough, was commissioned by the staff of Allford Hall Monaghan Morris to design and make cushions for the four partners. Each cushion is an abstract version of one of their buildings. From top row left to right: Angel Building, Crown Street Building, Westminster Academy, Barbican Centre

OLD TIMER

Monday, December 12th, 2011

I was doing some work on a project the other day which had a swatch watch in it and then it reminded me I had designed one way back in 1992/93. It was called  ‘scribble’ I never liked the name! I had worked in Milan a couple of years earlier and met Allessandro Mendini and when I returned to London he invited me to design a swatch and this is the one that was produced, and it still seems to exist which feels strange.

Monday, December 5th, 2011
